What was discovered was that ducks, rabbits, ladybugs and frogs, are cute sometimes, but are overwhelming in large numbers. Future makers of clothing for kids, KEA + JOBY also found that the makers of most kids' clothes have a manic phobia of simplicity and refuse to leave well enough alone. Just when they thought they've finally found that perfectly nice, sporty, classic t-shirt it s corrupted with the manufacturer's name or insignia, often written so large you can barely see your child through the haze of free advertising. KEA + JOBY knew they didn't want some faceless company with thousands of stores and millions of customers dictating who their children should be- they want them to be themselves. After searching in vain for boy s and girl s clothes that fit the bill, KEA + JOBY was born. KEA + JOBY s philosophy was to design simple, stylish and comfortable clothes that allow their individuality to shine through; along with practicality and versatility- clothes that can be worn from the playground to a birthday party - the kids' equivalent of your favorite pair of jeans. KEA + JOBY is comprised of two mothers with five children among them, ranging in age from 1 to 4 years. KEA + JOBY has an intimate knowledge of their customers and their needs.
